Shawn Carey and Michael Milicia will lead this one-day classroom seminar crammed with tips and techniques that will help bring your avian imagery to the next level.

Mike and Shawn will be prepared to discuss a wide range of topics including fieldcraft, composition, exposure, metering, autofocus, histograms, minimizing noise, camera setup, flight photography, video, tripods, lenses, long lens technique, sharpness, light angles, fill flash, bird behavior, poses, head angles, hot spot locations, travel tips, basic image management and post-processing, color management, and more. The exact content for the day will be guided in large part by questions and/or topic suggestions that registered attendees will be invited to submit in advance. We will do our best to make the content and presentation suitable for both beginners and more experienced bird photographers.

Please note: This will be a classroom-only seminar and there will be no hands-on photography. You are welcome to bring a single camera body and a small lens if you would like help with camera settings or operation, but there is no need for any other gear and there will be no space to accommodate it.
